I made a project last year, and exported it. So it seems, the file extension was .json.
Meanwhile, I formatted my pc's ssd and this year had to come back and do the same show, so I downloaded the newest version of Sound Show, but it seems the project files have new extensions (.ssp). Is there a way to open old projects in the new version?

Yes there is a way to open the old projects.
On the top menu, you can go to "Projet", "Edit" and the click "Import Legacy Library".
This will allow to convert your exported json file in the newer ssp file
