Hi everyone,

I downloaded the app a few days ago, and I'm super happy with it. But since my library has been growing a lot, I'm unfortunately running into memory issues. I should mention that I use some really long audio files (sometimes an hour), so this might be a bit unusual. These long files don't all have to be in the cache for my sake. It'd be no problem to just preload them when they're needed. Is there a way to remove the preloaded files from the RAM? In the older versions, I always see a button that says "Unload after play" or something like that. Is there already an article on this topic somewhere?

It'd be great if someone could lend a hand.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Oh, and I'm using Windows 10 with 32GB of RAM. Right now, Soundshow uses around 18.5GB of that.

Hello,
I did some tests with very long file and I don't see increase in RAM usage. New versions stream from the disk rather than loading it fully. It's the reason why there is no more an unload option.
In the Pro version, maybe you have the waveforms enabled, this require to fully load the sounds. If it is the case, for your use case it would be better to disable this. In options -> visual -> Waveform -> You can uncheck both "Show on edition" and "Show on play".
Do you see a fast increase in RAM usage or does it takes a lot of of sounds to happen? I'll try to do some more tests.
