Sound Show 2 Universal License Terms and Conditions
Version 1.1 — 30 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of the paid Sound Show 2 Universal License (the “License”), provided by Laurent Herbin, an independent entrepreneur based in Belgium (the “Publisher”).
1. License scope
The License grants one customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Sound Show 2.x software on supported Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android devices. iOS is not included.
The License is perpetual for Sound Show 2.x. A future major version may be sold separately. Availability of individual features can vary by operating system and release.
2. Device allowance
Each License includes an allowance for three active devices. At purchase, the customer can increase that License’s allowance by buying additional active-device capacity. Standard online checkout supports up to 30 active devices per License; customers who need more should contact support. The selected allowance is shared across all supported platforms.
Deactivating Sound Show on a connected device releases its slot after the app confirms deactivation. Removing a device through the customer account requests revocation; its slot remains reserved until that installation confirms it has disabled the License, or an unavailable-device replacement is completed.
Each License allows two automatic replacements without confirmation from the old installation in a rolling 12-month period. These replacements release a reserved slot immediately, with no waiting period. A further replacement requires support review. Confirmed deactivations do not consume this allowance. A later confirmation from an already replaced device does not restore a used replacement. The allowance applies to the License, not to each device slot. Additional device capacity does not reset it.
After removing or replacing an installation, the customer must stop using Pro on that installation, even if it remains offline. Replacements may not be used to exceed the purchased allowance.
A device is identified per Sound Show account and local app installation profile. Signing out and returning to the same account from that profile does not add another device. Different Sound Show accounts, separate operating-system user profiles, and installations with a new installation key are treated as separate devices. Resetting settings while retaining the installation key does not itself create another device. A License cannot be shared between accounts.
Purchases for the same Sound Show account add capacity to its single Universal License. They do not create separate replacement allowances.
3. Accounts, activation and offline use
An account is not required before paid checkout. The checkout email is used for customer upgrade pricing and to reserve the resulting License. A verified Sound Show account with that same email is required to claim the License, manage devices, activate Sound Show, and use online licensing services. A completely zero-cost upgrade claim also requires the original purchase email to be verified before the one-time benefit is consumed. The customer is responsible for protecting account credentials and for keeping the account email address current.
After successful activation in a compatible Sound Show 2 version, a purchased, non-expiring Pro License works indefinitely offline on that installation. There is no periodic internet check required to keep using it and no requirement to remain signed in. Trials and other time-limited grants retain their stated expiry. Older app versions that use a timed offline authorization require an update and one successful online license check to obtain permanent offline authorization.
When the app can reach the licensing service, it checks whether the License or installation has been blocked, refunded, revoked or removed. A verified revocation disables Pro on that installation. Network failures or an unavailable licensing service do not expire an existing permanent offline authorization. Revocation cannot be delivered to an installation that remains offline; this does not grant permission to continue using a revoked License.
Initial activation, activation after losing an installation key, and activation on a new installation require access to the licensing service. Offline use does not guarantee that online services, new activations or future updates will remain available. For a device that cannot connect, contact support to discuss activation options; USB or phone-assisted activation is not currently a self-service feature.
4. Price and tax
The displayed Sound Show website price is the final tax-inclusive customer price. Stripe Checkout presents the applicable tax detail. The standard launch price is EUR 55 for the three-device allowance, plus EUR 15 for each additional active device selected at purchase, unless different current prices are displayed before purchase.
5. Upgrade offers
An eligible Sound Show V1 purchase can provide one percentage discount or zero-cost upgrade claim for one Sound Show 2 License. Offers do not stack. If more than one valid offer is available, the highest offer is applied and only the selected source entitlement is consumed.
Percentage discounts and zero-cost upgrades apply only to the base License with its included three-device allowance. Additional active devices remain EUR 15 each. A zero-cost base upgrade with additional devices therefore requires a paid checkout for those additional devices.
Upgrade eligibility is personal to the original purchase email and cannot be sold or transferred separately. It can be applied during guest checkout, but the resulting License can be claimed only by an account that verifies that same email. A completely zero-cost claim requires verification before redemption.
6. Refunds
An approved refund of a Sound Show 2 License returns no more than the amount actually paid for that License. The refunded License and its activations are revoked. When the source Sound Show V1 purchase remains valid, an upgrade entitlement used for that License can become available again after the refund is settled.
Refund rights required by applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
7. Chargebacks and fraud
A chargeback is a payment reversal initiated through a bank or payment provider. When a payment is disputed, reversed, or suspected to be fraudulent, the Publisher may revoke the affected License and lock the related upgrade benefit while the matter is reviewed. A locked benefit is not automatically restored.
8. Acceptable use
The customer may not resell, sublicense, share, publish, reverse engineer beyond rights granted by mandatory law, or use the licensing service to evade device, account, payment, or upgrade restrictions.
9. Availability and updates
The Publisher may provide maintenance updates, security fixes, and feature updates for Sound Show 2.x. No uninterrupted online service or identical feature availability on every supported platform is guaranteed.
10. Third-party services
Sound Show can interact with third-party hardware and services. Their terms, availability, and technical limitations remain the responsibility of their respective providers.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect loss, lost performance data, or damage caused by unsupported equipment, third-party services, or use contrary to documentation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Governing terms and contact
Applicable Belgian and mandatory consumer law govern these Terms. Questions, refund requests, and licensing support can be submitted through the Sound Show support contact channels.
By completing checkout or a zero-cost upgrade claim, the customer confirms acceptance of this version of the Terms.
