Hey there!

While using Soundshow for my TTRPG, I thought of a few adjustments and features that would be fantastic to have on board.

1. I find that the fade in and fade out options under Options > Main automatically apply to songs in playlists - which is unfortunate, as I use the playlist feature to create dynamic and unpredictable soundscapes that work best when there's no fade to be had. Although I can just disable fade in/out by setting the global value to 0s, I'm then unable to fade the playlist out smoothly without manually adjusting the fade value on the fly. It would be really helpful to be able to be able to disable fade in/out between songs in playlists!

2. Above all, I keep thinking how useful it would be to have a "fade to pause" and "fade to resume" option - sometimes, a music track is best just paused and resumed during a certain moment, and I don't believe a way to do this smoothly is in the program at the moment.

3. I use Speech mode every week to create dramatic moments or help my players hear above the sound when speaking, and it's been very helpful. However, I sometimes wish that I could have sounds that are exempt from Speech mode. For example, make the music quieter, but play a few dramatic sounds to indicate a phase change or a huge attack - without the music overshadowing the moment.

4. Last but not least, it would be a killer feature to be able to have some sounds exempt from specific global sound effects. Another example: battle music that isn't effected by the reverb of a cave, since the music isn't playing "in world", but is meant to enhance the experience of the players instead. Although I could instead add the desired reverb to all sounds except music, this would take a very long time and would lead to hundreds more sounds to duplicate for different situations; therefore, I think this solution would be more elegant.

I've recommended your app to several acquaintances and friends who also run TTRPGs, and they agree that it's the best out there for this use case by a very long shot. Please keep up the good work!

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for the detailed feedback :)

1. Adding different settings for the playlist fades would be nice. I'll look to add that.

2. If you right click on the Pause button either on global controls or on a specific sound player controls), it will fade to pause. You can then right click on the resume button. And it will fade in from pause to its original volume. You can also use Toggle Fade as an action on your rigt or left click.

3. 4. I understand your need. It will be a bit more tricky to implement. I'll try to find some easy solution but not sure yet how.
