The chain button allows you to synchronize the slider volume between multiple sound players.
Left click makes the button green, right makes it red.
Sound players of the same color will have their volume move in sync when using the slider.
Sound players with opposite colors will have volume move in opposite directions.
I use it a lot to manually transition from one music to another.
