  • Channel mapping: Map stereo inputs to any output channel.
  • Configuration scope: Apply settings to the next sound, the current sound, or pre-configure per sound.

Session Restore

  • Auto session save: Sound Show continuously saves session state (played items, locks, history, timers, …).
  • Crash/close recovery: After an unexpected shutdown, you will be prompted to restore the previous session on next launch.
  • Manual restore: Restore the previous session via Options → Main → Session → Restore previous session.

History

  • Preview in History: History now shows Preview plays.
  • History filter: Use the new filter to switch between All / Live / Preview.
  • Instructions compatibility: Sounds played on an “Is preview” device now behave correctly with the Instructions system.

Phone

  • Cleaner pop-ups: Option and Edit dialogs are better sized and laid out for vertical screens.

Playlists

  • Device missing handling: Autoplay now stops and you are notified if the selected audio output is not available.
  • State accuracy: Fixed cases where playlist state could desync from the UI and the wrong item played.
  • Linked playables: Links now work correctly in Playlists and Instructions.

Stream Deck

  • Linux support: Plugin now works on Linux via OpenDeck.
  • Offline configuration: Key configuration now works without an internet connection.

Players UI

  • On-the-fly configuration: New config icon on players to edit parameters of the currently playing item.
  • Save current values: Save a sound with its current parameters (echo, reverb, start/stop time, loop, …).
  • Surround access: Adjust Surround settings directly from the player UI.

Keyboard

  • Absolute mappings: Bind a key to a playable or category so it triggers regardless of the current category.
  • Configuration location: Set in the Edit popup of the playable or category.

Remote Web App

  • Click reliability: Fixed missed clicks when the app was updated by server messages.
  • Start modes added: Choose Replace, Toggle, or Toggle Fade.
  • Grid layout: Fixed rare resize issues.
  • Instructions: Added a Go button to trigger the next instruction.

Remote App / Remote Web App

  • Links and hierarchies: Category link buttons now switch within the remote app instead of the server, enabling hierarchical navigation remotely.
  • Hidden categories: Hidden categories are now also hidden on the remote app and web.
  • Update required: Update the remote app to benefit from these changes.

Instructions

  • Dynamic actions: For each instruction item, choose which actions to run.
  • Action sources: Use the actions configured for left/right/middle click, or the action used to launch from the grid.
  • Result: Enables more flexible, context-driven instructions.

Touch

  • Long-press = right-click: Added where missing (for example, linking players and changing play modes).
  • Safer editing on mobile: Resize and move panels only in Edit mode to prevent accidental layout changes.
  • Mode switch polish: Fixed layout issues when switching between Phone and Desktop modes.
  • Menus on touch: Menus no longer auto-close immediately on touch displays.

Recordings & Freesound Files

  • Project-relative storage: With Relative paths projects, recordings and Freesound downloads are stored next to the project file.
  • Configurable folders: Folder names are configurable via Project → Edit.

MIDI

  • Output selection: New bindings to select the next or previous audio output, or specific outputs by index.
  • Absolute mappings: Bind a MIDI control to a playable or category so it triggers regardless of the current category.
  • Configuration location: Set in the Edit popup.

Scheduler

  • New Scheduler panel: Open via View → Views → Scheduler.
  • Schedule to clock time: Drag an item to the panel and set a play time.
  • Repeats: Configure repetitions (for example, play “Song 1” at 20:30 and repeat every hour).

Waveform

  • Persist waveforms: Options → Visual → Waveform now allows saving waveform data next to the audio file.
  • Faster loading: Saved waveforms load near-instantly on next launch.

Fixes

  • Video loops: Fixed issues with video loops using custom start and stop times.
  • Clock timing: Fixed a clock time drifting issue.
  • Sound Effects: Fixed an issue where saved effect values (echo, reverb, …) were not applied on activation.
